Old game from 2003. Very fun single player experience. While the space flight is more like a submarine in a fishtank, still a better game by anything. Playing with Genesis mod installed, relatively fresh from 2023. It's a sandbox mod, no story, so just exploring what's new. Discovery mod is specifically for multiplayer in theory they still have servers, but haven't tried.
