I feel like even before that, he started slipping in quality. Like Gigant used to be good but at some point, I wanna say when he couldn't stop dragging out the Maggiecoln dating arc, he started to get into Saint Lincoln/Everybody Loves Lincoln territory and never looked back.

Also, he's a good example of "just because it sounds like a good idea to you doesn't mean you actually have to do it"
