Summer solstice
Sun set at 21:20 and will rise again at 5:10. A bit over 16h of sunshine. We're still sitting outside at 22h and it's not entirely dark. There's the sickle of the new moon and venus, looks like the Turkish flag. Very nice. Aaand - there just was the first firefly of the season!

I don't particularly like summer solstice though, it means it's going downhill from now. But for the next 2 monts life will be good. I'm a child of summer. I need long days, warm nights, flowers and green trees.

Do you have any celebrations for summer solstice? Here there are a lot of public bonfires on the weekends before and after solstice and we'll attend one next weekend. It's very archaic alpine folklore.
