I had to read that 2024PHB several times and only now I think I got it. The modifiers however? No idea if my reasoning is correct. I admit I don't understand most rolls. We should all state clearly what we're doing and why even if it's more work. But it will prevent a lot of misunderstandings.

But don't overthink anything beyond lv2, it's not relevant right now. The Monk's lv.5 an 10 upgrades fall nicely in my form evolution schedule though. So the changes will come with that.
