I think I got an infection once when I was a kid. I impaled my foot on an inch long twig and couldn't get it out. A week later it was puffy and I enjoyed squeezing out the whitish-yellow puss. Then the stick squeezed out. We didn't have insurance so there was no doctor to go to.

I don't have a histamine response either, so maybe that's related to how an infection looks. I don't get swelling either. I was suffering from "non-alergic rhinitis" once and they tested me, even the control histamine prick didn't turn red. The doctor said, "it's unlikely you will ever be allergic to anything ever." But that's not 100% true, I do get welts from mosquito bites. The rhinitis was because my job office had 10x the maximum allowable mold content. So they moved me.
