Hitler was simply a victim of fashion. His neoclassicistic style wasn't hip anymore when he tried to enroll. Also he only painted architecture and no people. But to think that the academy of fine arts in Vienna is directly responsible for WWII really lets you think. He could have become a mediocre artist, painter, architect or theater maker.

Fun fact - Hitler's business partner in Vienna who sold most of his paintings was a jew and jews bought most of his paintings to keep him afloat when he was poor.

He definitely was a better artist than military strategist.
