Data Protection and Removal Procedures
This platform respects the freedom of speech of its users, so we cannot remove content simply because it is unpopular or critical or rude; however, there are some legal basis for removal regarding personal privacy, intellectual property, and safety.
We don't define new rules here, this is a summary of existing practices to give a guide about content which is eligible for removal and about the standardized process for submitting a request.
What We Remove and what can get removed
We evaluate requests based on the following categories.
Personal Data (Doxxing)
Posting publicly available information (such as real names or public social media profiles) is generally allowed. However, we remove specific types of data:
- Any posting of Social Security Numbers, driver's license numbers, passport details, or scans/photos of official identification documents is removed on discovery. If you don't own the data but you see such content up, use the report functionality to notify us.
- Details allowing direct real-life contact (phone numbers, home/work addresses) will be removed if there is a suspicion of illegal acts, such as harassment.
- Workplace details, private email addresses, family trees, or data gathered via OSINT tools will be removed if the data owner requests deletion and reasonably identifies themselves as the owner of the data.
Copyright Infringement (DMCA)
You may request the removal of copyrighted material you own if the use is unauthorized.
We recognize fair use for transformative works, commentary, criticism, comedy, or reporting. Given the non-commercial nature of the site and its userbase, shared material never causes measurable market harm. However, clear infringements without transformative purpose are removed.
False claims of infringement can result in liability for damages under 17 U.S.C. §512(f).
Non-Consensual Intimate Imagery (Take It Down Act / TIDA)
Recent legislation makes it possible to request the removal of computer-generated or non-consensually taken/shared intimate visual depictions. This applies to any media containing nudity or sexual acts where the subject did not authorize the creation and distribution of it.
Submission Requirements (How to Request)
To ensure your request is processed efficiently, all submissions must include the following elements. Missing information may delay or result in the rejection of your request.
- Identification: You must reasonably verify your identity.
- For Personal Data: Prove you are the subject of the data.
- For Copyright: Provide reasonable proof of ownership.
- For Intimate Imagery: Provide reasonable proof that you are depicted in the media.
- Specific Links: Provide direct links to the exact posts containing the content, the "No." holds the exact URL in each post's header. Links to the thread and the specific media files can be helpful and are acceptable.
- Good-Faith Statement: Include a statement confirming that the use of the material is not authorized by you (the owner/subject).
Submission Method:
Send your request via email (see Contact). Ensure the subject line clearly states the category (e.g., "Takedown Request: Personal Data" or "DMCA Notice").
Review Process and Timelines
- This site is operated entirely by volunteers. Due to the limited size of the team and the volume of traffic, we cannot guarantee immediate responses.
- Emails are checked on a weekly basis.
- High volumes of spam masquerading as legitimate requests can occasionally cause delays or missed communications.
- If you have not received a response or action within a reasonable timeframe (typically 1–2 weeks), please resend your request or contact us through an alternative method to bring it to our attention.
The procedures described in this page might change depending on our experience and user feedback.
