You know, being better than 8chan isn't really an accomplishment by any stretch of imagination. 8ch is awful.

Problems with EC I've encountered already:
a) it randomly went down the day after we boarded it LMAO
b) it has the retarded flood system which doesn't make any sense; I mean I guess I could shut the fuck up, but what's the fun in that?

Basically what he said. There's more activity on that chan, both good and bad. Nanochan /g/ was somewhat active when it was usable, but I also checked out this place but the /tech/ here has almost no activity. 8ch /tech/ has some good discussion, but the site configuration is dog shit, to the point I want to off-board, but the alternatives lack good traffic, even though they have better setups.

/kc/ here again. We moved here in 2017 so spent some time and enjoyed the smooth sail Endchan could offer but was also shaken by Endchan's bumpy road too.
First they moved the site to a better server which was great, fast and stable, but the bill was steep and noone donated despite back than the chan seen some traffic (this is why it was moved). So it was moved again to a free one that was offered but paying costumers get the bulk of the resources I believe, so the problems started to show since some services of lynxchan, especially this older fork we are running on would needed more than we get, so 500 errors and connection failures (especially with /sp/ on board in peak traffic) started to show. The server was upgraded since then and I think some stuff was also disabled on lynx.
But there was another problem: during the move the database got corrupted, we lost all the media which was uploaded. This was partially fixed and the site is functioning but for a year now we still running on the corrupted database.
So Endchan right now doesn't work as it should, tl;dr it's the faulty database and the old engine. Now here should come a promise that things will be fixed but this promise is not mine to make since I'm just a Bernd from the neighbour.
