Where did 8/tech/ go? I noticed that tech boards other than 4/g/, nano, and lain have really low activity or are dead.

Isn't it in fucking worse than useless 8kun?

Tech isn't really a popular subject anymore.

Thank you. I should really work on this board. Maybe get some more users, fix/improve a little CSS here and there, hire a vol etc.

It just so happened that a few months before 8chan was kill, nano was created and shilled on 8/tech/. I feel like most people ended up there and it was really nice, until that retard somewhere above me decided to bump the old imported thread on 8kun and shill in a few places, bringing in an influx of braindead retards.
So that's the story, rn it's hard to say where everyone is, but I suspect that some defected back to 4/g/ and more hardcore ones ended up on several danknet obscure imageboards.

All the sites with traffic use javascript and/or cuckflare "protection" that label me as a bad goy (for using non-kosher web browser).

It's still up and got some new posters recently I think. I usually check it once a day or so, because why not (I even wrote an Expect/TCL script to log me in there automatically).
Yesterday I tried Amiga BBS "Absinthe", and this is totally old school running on real Amiga hardware. My terminal font wasn't quite setup right though (that's why there's ?'s in the screenshot I took). Gonna have to fix that somehow. They recommend using Syncterm, but fuck that, I'm an /dev/fb0 console cowboy!

>It's still up and got some new posters recently I think.

There are still a few internet groups from the early days of the internet around tbh. You may have to do some digging but they're still there.

Still, I'm a little surprised that Amiga still has some fans and users around for it.

You could get this kind of graphics out of a 1980's Amiga, back when most PCs had 4 color CGA and Macs were black & white.
But wait, this is just one frame. It's actually an animation someone made with Imagine 2.0 raytracing software. Then he used genlock hardware to capture it on VHS tape.
Most computers are lame bullshit these days. I'm not surprised there's still a bunch of fans who try to keep the good old days alive. I don't have a cool old computer, but I also don't want to waste money on lame bullshit.

Nanochan userbase should just move to Pico already. I honestly don't give a shit about the gay mod drama, I'm tired of the userbase fracturing even more.

That's because most tech boards are memes, idiots, and people who ask how to get their web browser working on their Walmart-bought Computer. That and games. Endchan /tech/ has potential as it is the last /tech/ board after 8chan died (>inb4 8kun).

>>14356
I am a global vol but I could supervise this board for you. The problem appears to be that it's inactive. I don't think a lot of people still know about endchan and /tech/ now-a-days. My initial advice is to try to make your own threads as stickies to spur activity, and potentially advertise in banners on other sites. (Please note my advice is not an invitation to raid other sites, or spam other sites, or spam other boards or individuals).

Most people don't know about it though. But that can be fixed though

Maybe inviting people from other tech websites is a good idea. Liek Stack overflow or sumthing

>(Please note my advice is not an invitation to raid other sites, or spam other sites, or spam other boards or individuals).

No no we won't do that. It good

>it's hard to say where everyone is
Back when 8chan died I tried looking for alternatives and there was this danknet one that was fully peer to peer which was a really cool idea but it didn't last long, and just was a pain in the ass to use. Every other place I've tried to visit were either bunkers for other boards (/v/ and the like) or just plain dead.
I occasionally browse lainchan but otherwise just stay off of tech-related chans, and keep to the more niche boards on 4chins. I grew to hate tech culture more during this time.

See most people aren't going to through all the trouble to do that. Imageboards work best because
1) no registration required
2) you can write, post, see updates almost instantly instead of waiting for TOR to load up

That's what I think at least

>I grew to hate tech culture more during this time.
Just take a break from things, even things you enjoy. You should be getting your energy and spirits up afterwards
