Because atheists don't believe in the after life, they believe that there is no reward or punishment for their actions after their body die. Because of that, some atheists, have a tendency to live an immoral life (some even illegal one).

It is rare that atheists want to join God's Community, but it is possible if they seek a moral life.
We seek to have an eternal life. If everything goes as intended, we will have no after life because we'll be always alive.

Because atheists only believe in physical stuff (physicality), they tend to create an exaggerated/unhealthy psychological attachments to material goods. Consumerism and greed are just some related consequences.
Also, some of them tend to be unappreciative about mental activities as well.

We have no attachments to material goods.
While matter is important (it's the base of reality), our main focus/interest goes into the advancement of consciousness and administration/morality (spirituality). Mind over matter.
