What went wrong Anonymous 05/29/2019 (Wed) 11:31:03 [Preview] No. 61
-Split into too many boards

A low traffic website like nano would do just fine with only two boards. If someone wanted to talk about something specific like weapons, cars and anime they could just do it in lounge. At least that way you would have an active board with several dozen posts a day instead of 6 boards with a few posts each.

-Hapa spammer/no moderation

He is probably also here shilling for himself but nearing the end of nanochan he was pretty much shitting up every thread with the talk about whites and hapas.

-Immature owner

The website owner was a delusional moron who thought that he could replace other chans while putting no effort into controlling his website. When it failed he just gave up and called it a day.

>A low traffic site such as nano would do fine with only two boards
I am in agreement except I would say 3 would be the amount. Obviously the first board is the random board. Then the tech board finally the meta board where we can discuss options. I believe there has to be a balance between posts which generate discussion and posts which are for fun. For example if I made a thread about how to increase muscle that's a thread that can easily generate some discussion but if someone during that thread suddenly turns it into muh soyboys(no matter how weak they truly are) and it begins to spiral into politics then I believe those posts should be deleted. Fun posts are different from low effort posting for example I would say that food recipes would be considered a fun post while a thread such as
>>48 I would consider a worthless post and should be deleted. Hakase's biggest mistake is being unable to differentiate between what a terrible thread and a fun thread is.

>Hapa spammer/no moderation
Yeah he really did derail the conversations. Probably should have been banned when it began to directly affect the majority of threads or potentially even before then.

>Immature owner
Basically now we are practically stuck in limbo until we get the tech people to make a new nanochan for us to dwell.

A community formed and we simply grew an attachment to that community. No matter the absolute failure of the people in charge.

True, but they all have some nagging issue in comparison to nanochan. The only downside to that place was the flaky admin. As mentioned above focusing on /b/, /g/, /meta/, and maybe a /d/(ump) would be best.

/pol/ attracts counter shitposters, that then shit up the rest of the chan.

The good thing was that no captcha was needed to post so everything was much faster on there
