I've vibecoded an imageboard and I'm really happy with the results. I was able to implement all the features I wanted that other scripts lack. The main ones are:

- user-created boards (admittedly this has become common but still a major feature lacking in many scripts)
- a custom board filter that aggregates only the boards you're interested in
- nested replies
- a sidebar with a thread list
- easy to install to shared hosting (+ written in PHP)
- '00s vibe with minimal use of javashit.

Please share your feedback. People didn't like the other one because of excessive javashit. This one does not require it! The LLM slipped some of it in but it will be removed soon.

You may! I feel kind of honoured to be dubbed something because I've always posted anonymously to imageboards.

The script was generated from scratch but it's no accident that it looks similar to Kareha, as I'm avoiding any Javascript for this project. It got this look simply by telling Grok to use the Yotsuba theme. It immediately nailed it.

I've only seen Kareha configured as a textboard. It's used on 4-ch.net. A thread list is almost unique to Nekochan but Kareha is actually one of the few that shares that functionality. But nobody else has implemented nested replies in an imageboard script to my knowledge and Kareha also lacks user-created boards. They're both Javascript-free. Kareha has selectable themes and pagination even inside threads.

It would've probably been better to start with an existing script and extending it because right now I have to implement basic functionality, but now I have this script and I don't want to abandon it. I'll continue working on Nekochan a bit more, and later fork another script and extend it to include the same functionality.
