Some short bouts in the aero position today, felt really good and strong so can't wait to do that road bike TT on Thursday. I am riding a different TT saddle tomorrow so there I will sit more on the nose/rivet, but I don't think that's the crucial part, it's about in what position you can rotate your hips and put down good power. I have a pretty long upper body so I need to sit slightly further backward, if I am too forward then I will become crunched even with my effective 170mm stem. My TT saddle has a slightly slippery feel to it yeah, I'd prefer it to be rougher.

I'm not sure what rules they will uphold in the TT, since it's a regular TT (meaning TT bikes are good) they are very strict about rules for TT bikes (nose of saddle at least 5cm behind BB, not too long TT skis and so on) but I am not sure what their rules for road bikes are. My handlebars are wide enough at least to fit the 28cm UCI rule if they measure that.

Kinda same for me, not that I ever rode any competition or even have the bike fit for me, but having normal legs and slightly longer torso makes me super crunched everytime I want to mimic a Tony Martin in aero and I just can't push hard. Alright, thanks for the input. Yeah fun to see how well I can hold the position. I did 2min suprathreshold reps yesterday in this position with short rests and that wasn't too bad, but continuous for 25-30min is more tricky (though at least there's the U-turn in the middle where you can somewhat relax). Sub-26min would be perfect, should be achievable with ~380W and an optimistic CdA of 0.25 but maybe sub-27min is more achievable.
