LATEST NEWS

Repost from /news/.
Things aren't looking good for a lot of people

Interviews and first-hand accounts from sailors stranded in the Persian Gulf — under threat of drone attacks, missiles, and exploding boats — reveal an increasingly dire humanitarian crisis unfolding.

Iran's blockade of one of the world's most critical shipping lanes, the Strait of Hormuz, has unleashed pain on global markets.

The normally busy strait has been mostly empty since the start of the war. But inside the Persian Gulf, some 2,000 ships remain.

And while the US-Israel war with Iran rages on, the crews on those stranded ships are facing their own battle of attrition.

A shaky ceasefire between the U.S. and Iran has brought “a careful sense of hope” for the crew, but there is still no clear end to the war. “Day to day, we try to keep things normal with open conversations and small team activities that help lift everyone’s spirits.”
The crew sighted drones and missile interceptions several times, both near the ship and along the horizon during their watches. “Those moments were difficult and created real tension for the crew,” Dhar told The Associated Press.

“None of us expected the warlike situation,” he said, noting that reliable internet has helped them stay in touch with families. “Those calls and messages really keep us grounded and give us strength.”

Shortages of global seafarers may worsen

The International Maritime Organization and others have called for a safe corridor for commercial vessels in the strait. Most ships are still unable to pass through.
Iran has said the strait is open to vessels it does not consider hostile and has demanded tolls for passage. Reports also alleged mines were placed in the waterway, and Trump said the U.S. was clearing
them and would “shoot and kill” boats laying mines.

Under heightened risks of mines and attacks, “there is no safe transit anywhere in the Strait of Hormuz,” said IMO Secretary-General Arsenio Dominguez.

Multiple crises in recent years — including COVID-19, Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, and attacks in the Red Sea — have already left many seafarers stranded at sea. Shipping executives warn the situation could worsen global crew shortages.

Thanks for the info, Spain anon. You might not see this over seas, but in the USA even in red states, people are putting this sticker sideways at pumps next to gas prices. "Short term pain for long term gain" repeated scripted phrase across news media, courtesy of fucking Israel.

"Left VS Right" is a false dichotomy. You get nothing from attacking the poor or the rich. The only reasonable thing is to learn, understand, educate, protect, and develop democratic principles and institutions.

Oil in everyday things

How the Iran war is driving up the cost of your shopping cart

---------------
A surge in energy prices caused by the Iran war is rippling through global supply chains for common consumer goods, making materials like chemicals and plastics more expensive and pushing up manufacturing and transportation costs.

In North America polyethylene was about 29% higher year-on-year in March, according to estimates from Baird.

Most plastics are made from oil or natural gas processed into chemical building blocks and then converted into polymers which are used to make wrappings and tubs for products like detergents, as well as polyester fabric for clothing.

Hmmmkay so the Iran war has cost the USA up to $113.3 billion since it started, like 1 month ago. I'm not making those numbers up. You can search for it online

Soooo what's like the end goal of all of this? Even if the US wins, it would be a Pyrrhic victory at most. Things won't end well if this pointless war continues. For everyone involved I believe

The current NDAA (Section 219/224) creates a dedicated Pentagon executive agent whose entire job is to force deeper, faster integration of US-Israeli defense tech, R&D, industrial base, joint capabilities, training, and data sharing. No other "ally" gets this.

On the operational side, IDF Chief of Staff Zamir and CENTCOM Joint Chiefs are running near-weekly channels, special envoy liaisons in each others' structures, combined planning against Iran. Not a single army under one chief via middleman. Just the deepest institutional and operational fusion short of that.

SERIOUS INTELLIGENCE ON THE BOMBING CAMPAIGN AGAINST IRAN STARTING THIS WEEKEND Anonymous 08/01/2026 (Sat) 16:49 Id: af6913 [Preview] No.104937 del
SERIOUS INTELLIGENCE ON THE BOMBING CAMPAIGN AGAINST IRAN STARTING THIS WEEKEND AND LASTING FOR TWO WEEKS!!!

On Friday evening, receiving numerous contacts from former colleagues in the Intel Community were telling me some very serious and bad news.

According to SIX separate Intelligence Sources, each in a different area of Intelligence spread between FOUR separate Agencies:

1) President Donald Trump has authorized "far more serious and very far worse strikes upon Iran, beginning THIS WEEKEND. The nature of the strikes will, ALLEGEDLY, "leave the regime of the Islamic Republic with no choice but to surrender."

2) Trump made this decision based on nearly unanimous Intelligence conclusions saying "The IRGC holds complete control over decision-making in Iran. It is in THEIR interests that the conflict drag on because they know the USA is low on precision-strike weapons, the ZOG People are overwhelmingly angry at this war which will harm Trump in the Mid-Term Elections, the fuel supplies in the West are dwindling to dangerously low levels, and dragging-on the conflict will result in severe economic destruction, globally."

3) Waves of air-refueling tankers have been taking-off from Middle East locations since about 2:00 PM eastern US time. They have been taking off in Waves of four tankers every ten minutes. Do the math.

4) At 6:30 PM EDT this evening, Iran -- seeing the massive refueling capacity already in the air with more coming, and realizing the United States and Israel are planning what would be one of the harshest bombing campaigns to date against energy infrastructure targets in Iran -- issued a statement saying Iran will strike Israel's critical infrastructure and U.S. energy facilities across the region if it is attacked.

5) Iran pointed out that It has already wiped-out HALF of Kuwait's Desalination plants, leaving only four (4) remaining plants. The destruction of the remaining four plants would make Kuwait uninhabitable.

6) "Trump is planning a CATASTROPHIC attack on Iranian energy facilities to force a surrender. The U.S. is preparing a 2 week bombing plan to DESTROY Iran’s electricity to force favorable peace terms."

Never underestimate jews gravitation to self removal by his decision making
Or they made a second round of homutz shenanigans to push the china as the savior selling their aquired oil and russian oil for premium mark up trough yuan considering the present https://maritime-executive.com/article/china-begins-to-return-to-the-world-oil-market
