Working as an Auto Tech and wondering what laptop is best reccomended for processing pdf diagrams, everytime I use them outside of a browser things like zomming or fast scrolling causes a stutter, I need one that can react and process pdfs swiftly.

Get a refurbished Dell or Acer laptop. Something that should only cost you around $200. Wipe the OS partition and install Linux or a preactivated bootleg of Windows 7. Install Libre Office, it's free and you can read and create pdf files. Libre Office has pretty much everything that Microsoft Office has but without needing registration or having to pay for it.

Oh, and don't ever bother telling ZOGbot management what you use today, they'll gripe and complain and squeal like pigs when you don't suck Microsoft's cock.

For an decent operating system search here:

Linux: https://distrowatch.com/

Most Linux operating systems already comes with Libre Office btw.

Even France and Germany are dumping Microslop today. Linux and open source software is definitely the future. If you still need Microslop just go with the free debloated bootlegs. I would recommend having a small DVD binder full of various bootable ISOs of Linux distros and other preactivated bootlegs, perhaps some data discs full of your favorite software too. Buy a couple refurbished PCs and laptops, set some aside as future backups/salvage. That way you are always good. You cut out the control freak government demons and greedy corporate parasites.

And guess what? I own them. I have full admin control over my operating system. I have awesome software for free, media rippers and converters, p2p networking, Tor and much more. I have a multiple backups of everything I want and need too. You know what's ironic about my "old shitty refurb laptops"...? THEY WORK 1000% FAR BETTER AND FASTER THAN MODERN NEW COMPUTERS AND OPERATING SYSTEMS DO. At least my laptops are not bogged down with corporate spyware and bloat.

Older laptops are overall better for basic common use, unless you are into intensive gaming or running local LLMs. Those older laptops even have CD/DVD writers and multiple USB ports making them great for media collectors and enthusiasts. If you are into local LLMs or gaming then you will need something much more expensive, technologically advanced. For an average Linux or Windows 7 user a refurbished laptop works just fine with almost any other task.
