About 80% of it is moronic but they do have a few "oldie" channels too which play re-runs from the 60s, 70s and 80s. Every once in a while you will see an interesting show about crime solving old cold murder cases or some chef cooking a delicious gourmet meal. The issue with TV is there is so much garabage you have to shuffle through to find anything worthy of watching anymore. TV was better with just 4 major stations way back in the day, they relied on good content for enough viewers to stay on the air waves, there was no leeway for those networks pissing off their viewers so they focused on the highest quality of content. Thus the "golden age" of TV.

Depends how you use it really. The internet can also be used to spy on you, track you, blacklist you, dox you, etc. It is a tool. If used correctly and properly, yes, it can be great. If mindlessly misused you could be doing yourself more harm then good.
