bad people are drawn to positions of power to get bribed into abusing those positions as regular citizens get more and more cattle-fied. powerful people working together against the powerless, that is the true source of interest rates and passive income. the way to get rich is to be unfair.

Before the passing of income taxes and the normalization of excise taxation, the USA made almost all of its money from tariffs. Trump may have attempted to bring america back to this foundational taxation system.
