I'm now facing this issue too. A long-time friend is on the verge of going homeless. The problem is, I can't afford to help him out and if I did I would be significantly reducing my lifestyle and the hard times I prepared for just encase the worst happens to me. What do I say to my friend? "Too bad, sorry but sucks for you" ....??? It feels bad man but fuck. It's not like I have endless money to hand out welfare. I already told my friend he needs to find another job. Problem is even with another job he's not going to break even or easily avoid bankruptcy. He's got no inheritance left over either. He already lived off it and spent it. Get ready anons, hard times coming!

Plus, I've already been giving him some charity over the years. I've done this for multiple long-time friends. However I cannot afford to keep the gravy train going or God forbid let them live off me. At some point you got to tell them to fend for themselves and yah it sucks, don't know how this will impact future relations.

I lost many friends and people that I thought that were my friends, mostly on internet

The fist friend that I lost was a kid that used to play MCPE everyday with me, he also helped me with my old YouTube channel, I lost him due my strict parents, they chimp out after they saw the news about the Blue Whale Game and prohibited me of having internet friends

My second internet friends just stopped talking with me for no reason, even on WhatsApp he didn’t answer my dms

I lost others 2 internet friends in two different occasions, but for the same reason, I used too create created accounts on Discord and after I got sad I deleted them and because of my stupid I lost my friends twice, both used to go in call with me everyday, they were really cool guys. I miss them

Dude, that's just life. Everyone has had at least one really good friend who eventually went their own way and never talked again. My brother had his best friend Zack, they now rarely speak because they live so far away from one another and I had a best friend Mark a long time ago but he turned out to be a complete stuck up snob during his teenage years and I turned into a heavy drug and alcohol user and dropped out of high school. We don't speak to one another anymore. Last I heard Mark is now a family man, good on him. Still an asshole but whatever, still wish him the best.

Come to think about it..... I was an asshole too, no doubt about it. If Mark ever reads this, he knows I was pretty shitty at times too myself. Did plenty of regretful shit growing up that's for sure. Also kinda bullied some kids which I do feel bad about and shouldn't have done.
