What are your general opinions of the city of Babylon? It's one of the most important cities in history and everything seems to ultimately go back to Babylon.

Like any river surrounded by a farming culture, the water in the Yellow River was too contaminated to drink. But it was easy to irrigate.
Mesopotamians inability to irrigate had nothing to do with intelligence. It was just the nature of the river. Mesopotamians has a sophisticated trading system involving leather rafts they could fold up to reduce the need for manpower. They also invented screw pumps, batteries for electroplating coins, writing, and beer.

Also consider the political differences between Athens and Sparta. Athens had a sloppy democracy that amounted to little more than mod rule between the many aristocratic families. This is why disagreements often devolved into civil wars that ended in re-establishment of a tyranny. Then it was never long before the families that lost the civil war would join together to chase out the tyrant and re-establish a sloppy democracy that would devolve into fighting again.

The Spartans had more of a system of checks and balanced that resembled a primitive form of republicanism. They had an elected council of ephors that checked the power of the king. They had a "Gourgias" which was an elected council of elders that handled civil law and acted as a supreme court. And then they had the "Assembly" (which comprised all the Spartan men over 20) which had final say in all matters of war and peace. Though voting within these groups amounted to shouting over each other at the feast table (Aristotle called it childish) it gave them a sense of stability that the other city-states never had.

There is also a sense of national pride in Sparta that you don't see elsewhere. The city folk of Sparta and the surrounding countryside of Lacadaemon considered themselves as one people whereas Athens and rural Attica had a broader cultural line drawn between them.

The nile river was also extremely easy to irrigate I think I mixed up the nile with the tigris and Euphrates. Plus wasn't mesopotamia the dawn of civilization that's gotta count for something.

Spartans were actually a different type of greek called dorians in comparison to athens who were ionians. That's probably why sparta had a differing sense of pride. That's also why greece was effective split up into warring city states due to the tensions between the people groups. As sparta were the invaders.

The bottom section of Asia Minor was also Dorian and they didn't have much of a sense of unity. In fact, The Ionians on Asia Minor formed the "Ionian League" and it was probably the most solid alliance in Hellenic history.

The Nile wasn't really irrigated at all due to the way it flooded and dried up seasonally. The Egyptians would wait for silt deposits prior to flood season and farm only in those months. However, the Nile had a series of tributaries that the Tigris and Euphrates lacked, making northern Egypt into a marshy and fertile region, similar to western China.

And yes, the earliest cities were built in Mesopotamia. That was the Sumerians in southern Mesopotamia who, as I said, invented writing and beer. They also had the earliest barter system.

Everything eventually comes to an end and is replaced with something else. Whether better or for worse is up to you to dictate. We may not have control over certain circumstances, but we have control over what we do when those circumstances are presented to us. The journey of life is an interesting one with hardships along the way, but if everything were easy we would never improve ourselves? So just remember when life gets difficult we're on the ride with you anon.

>People here actively do try to improve
Nobody who's "living their life" has a reason to visit imageboards. They got facebook, instagram or garbage they stream on netflix. This place is for specific types of people. I've seen introverts, recluses, even wizards and warlocks who've lost their lives here.
Sure, there are /sig/ anons too but they're probably minority.

>Being on imageboards helps us communicate and talk to people we probably would've never known otherwise.
Maybe 80% of the posts I've read till now is absolute shit. 10% was worth and 10% was useful. I could just obtain that 10% somewhere else instead.
Just 9chan itself, that place was horse shit with 0 benefits.

>Try do something productive anon, stop masturbating and read books, watch anime, look up things you want to find out about, go out for long walks, exercise.
Never been to /sig/ much. There's no point in improvement when you're a hikki-recluse. There's no need or opportunity for me to apply the idea that "the industrial revolution has been a disaster for the human race" now that I know about it.
"Self-improvement is masturbation" to quote a certain someone. It's only pleasurable to the one doing it, and after all of the effort and time, you only get satisfaction for a short period.

>There are plenty of things you can do while still browsing imageboards.
Yep, but the activities you listed make imageboards a less significant part of life when compared to other improvement activities.

>Anime is just a cherry on top.

Regarding that screencap:
For me it was depression and anger preventing me from living my life. Making it impossible to keep a job or any friends. The social contact I got from IBs was probably the thing that prevented suicide as a worked through the depression. I think my experience was the complete opposite of guy in the screencap and IBs kept me alive.

That's not even getting into when there's a hive of them. Why are wasps so infuriatingly obnoxious? They're not even good at pollinating in comparison to bees. Which by the way honey is actually really good for you. What's your opinion on wasps anons? Do you have the same dislike I have towards them?

They are great to have in a garden. I have a few. They really save you money on garden bug control. So long as you serenade them with jazz music, they should be left to do their part in nature without solutions to deter their calling in the universe. Eating bugs and white flies so that your garden is edible come harvest.
I grow vegetables and fruits all my life. I see mother nature at play on a daily close up, as if using a magnifying glass to observe and help mother natures course. It is quite pleasant break from dealing with online wasp if you catch my drift.
Those are the ones we should be questioning.
Lucky, I have passive wasp. I play them hours longs collections of jazz. They same 4hr so loop of best classics, in order to also tame them, get them used to the jazzy noise so they don’t feel altered should I be in the area tending the garden myself. Kind of like making peace with nature via sharing music.

The outside of their nests look like puke because that's literally what it is. The insides are pretty organized and cool-looking, though. I've been stung by wasps a couple of times but they don't really chase you around like in TV shows and they give you plenty of warning first if you pay attention.

One thing that sucks about wasps in the garden is that they eat away at the wooden boxes I have and anything made from wood really doesn't last with them around. I prefer to have wolf spiders on patrol.

Opinions on the man himself. I certainly don't think he's perfect but he did a lot of good for his country and that the slander he gets today is unjustified. I think people are too quick to judge and are unwilling to look at him from any other angles other than he's picture perfect or he's the manifestation of evil. Either way hitler is probably one of the most important figures of history along the likes of Caesar, Martin Luther(Protestant guy not the nigger), Jesus, Napoleon, Charlemagne, Constantine, Alexander the great and Cyrus the great. One thing I think is people need to respect European culture more because it's completely ignored. Especially considering the fact that European culture is the most vibrant and distinguished among all people groups.

I think if you want to talk about true power, you'd study Mao. But if you wanted to talk about benefit for one's country while wielding said power? You'd look at Stalin. Hitler is not the absolute caricature "they" (not just talking about Jews) have made him into, but nor is he all that successful, as tyrants go.

Of course, a true patriot would discard all three and go with Roosevelt (Teddy or Franklin, both were badass).

Intriguing that those names are mentioned, truly. Considering their blood ties.

It isn't about who won, lost, or chose to be a martyr for their people, but their actions. Their decisions, processes in which the leader objectively described chose to do what they did. Take >>64 for example--he worked to banish freemasonry from his country, which was subverted back in an Egyptian dynasty by corrupt scum. It no longer held onto traditional values influencing the direction of civilization towards the top of the pyramid, which held no capstone originally (Jesus spoke of this, clearly, yet that too was subverted and disguised by usurpers). Instead, we have the offspring of luciferianism, a bunch of disheveled meat sacks believing that their choices are for a greater good.

Let's play it your way and discuss those opposite of the OP. You know, communists. Bright idea, brighter than Yaldabaoth, JahBuLon, Godriel, Hiram, Lucifer, Chronos, Vulcan, Nimrod and Tammuz, and Osiris could ever be.

I'm holding the nail or "law of five" peace sign in solidarity to the notion.

The Soviets lost over 10 Million Soldiers in the war but even that estimate may be far lower than the real numbers due to the nature of Soviet record keeping and the nature of the war itself. The US lost .4 of a Million. But of course it was Uncle Sam's 'Big d*ck' thrusting into Europe that was what lost Germany the war though.

Anyway, Churchill didn't win the war by defeating Germany outright as the Soviets did but through staying steady and listening to his Generals. Britain contributed by the war through it's naval efforts but also by preventing the Axis from taking North Africa and then threatening or taking the British Oil fields in the Middle east, by proving a staging area for the invasion of France when it could occur and by tying up large numbers of Soldiers and resources that could have been sent to the eastern front. The Germans threw large numbers of aircraft into Britain itself and threw resources and men into holding France in anticipation of an Invasion but they also had to place men in the Balkans, North Africa and Norway. There were actually a reasonable number of men in all these areas that could have much better been used elsewhere, there was a whole army in Norway that sat on their thumbs for the entire war, solely because Hitler was concerned Britain would invade.

Britain was the thorn in Germany's side thorough the entire war, had they not been there Germany and even Italy would have been able to sent much more to the east and would have taken the Persian oilfields as well. And Churchill kept trying to launch pre-emptive invasions of France and Norway, long before they could have realistically had a chance of holding it. Had they done that it's likely they would have de fanged themselves as they really didn't have the men to lose on such adventures thus Germany would have been given more of a free hand and would likely have won the war. But he didn't, however much he tried it never happened.

Do you think that the hatred of women on imageboards is justified? It's something I've noticed but slowly the view of women of imageboards has gone from distain to outright hatred. Obviously the reason this is the case is that modern women are less than stellar a lot of them are downright whores which is increased due to power from the state. I've also noticed that it's absurdly rare to find a virgin women in western media. In anime for example, it's the complete opposite unless your reading a hentai finding a non virgin is really difficult unless they're married. Lack of good role models killed women same with how a lack of good role models killed men.

Okay it werks now.
If a media appears to be broken it have to be scrubbed with the deletion menu first, then repost, this should solve the problem.
The reason is that many media were corrupted in a botched migration of the db some time ago. And lynxchan doesn't uploads media if it's already in the db, just links it there, and if that particular one is corrupted, that results in the error.

>I feel like this a submissive stance to take.
It's not, If I put a standard on myself to find a virgin girl then that's on me. While you don't have that same standard that doesn't mean other people have such a standard. Placing limitations on yourself is the epitome of manliness as it makes you challenge yourself. If you lack the discipline to find a respectable women does that really make me the submissive one?

>If you aren't confident in your ability to satisfy a woman and make her yours then that's a problem. A true man should be able to make even a slut feel like a virgin when they're with them.
Again a man would have standards on what constitutes as a decent and respectable wife. A true man would never go near a slut because he would want to set an example on what a healthy and loving relationship would look like. He would act like a role model and strengthen his bond with his wife.

>I find that men who of value virginity the most often have insecurities surrounding their manhood
If the only thing that matters to your "manhood" is how many women you've slept with then I believe your priorities are skewed. There's more to being a man than how many women you've slept with. Can you take care of yourself?, Can you take responsibility for your own actions?, Can you act confident? These are more important than promiscuity.

>This can be most clearly seen in incel communities which instead of increasing their social value and skills seek to blame others for their inability to lose their virginity.
That community has more problems than their virginity though, That's the point you seem to not be getting. I want a virgin because I won't accept anything less. I've got a job a part time one but one none the less. Most Incels are simply NEETs who endulge in escapism and never try to improve themselves. Standards does not equal escapism.

>Is there any proof to back this up? I feel that if a woman has been with multiply partners and deemed that you're the best then she's less likely to cheat. There's no curiosity of what's out there or what could have been.

Fetishism and brainwashing. For the longest time, young girls (12-16) were usually married off. This happened all around the world across all cultures. And it was okay because people weren't sex obsessed degenerates like they are in modern america. The age of consent was raised to destroy the family unit. Then it was pounded into the masses heads that a grown man being attracted to teenage girls is somehow, pedophilia. Even though it literally doesn't even fit the textbook description of pedophilia. And its only gotten worse. Hell, normalfags are calling twenty something year olds children now. It's absurd. No, it's not some 'toasty roasty feminism' that caused this, the real reason is much more nefarious.

>For the longest time, young girls (12-16) were usually married off. This happened all around the world across all cultures.

Actually that's false. Well almost. Average age at marriage through Europe even in the middle ages and even amongst peasants was about 20 but often they married older. I say almost because that's only in Europe, in Asia, Africa, the middle east etc you are fight and they were married off much younger. But then these cultures really don't/didn't care about women so in their view the sooner they get rid of their daughters the better.

Age of Consent isn't just about destroying family unit but helped the state in many ways.
Teenage pregnancy is going to affect the child's education and can push her back a year or two from other people her age which will affect her future, thus making her an invaluable investment for the state.
Teenage pregnancy also leads to overpopulation, in a way.

But yeah, it's selfish from the point of elites because ultimately it's about control.

There's definitely some good to it.
Like he said here >>228
Women children like in Islamic Nations suffered much when they got married off young as soon as she bleeds, in a confused state, sometimes to old men. Many still think having a girl child is a curse, some kill them off as a child.
