This is not a "screw" to fasten stuff, this is a "screw" just to apply some pre tension.
That's why the proper "tool" for this "screw" is made out of plastic and the only torque on it is applied from the palm of your hand.
FFS Bert!

>>54910
Wait, this failure mode is even worse:
Did you remove the crank arm without removing the tensioning "screw" first?
WFT Bert!

>>54914
Bert... this little thing (4) is not preventing anything, it is just an indicator so you know if the crank arm is "deep enough" on the axle.
Well, Bert... have you read any manual before hand?

to be fair that small pin on 4 is supposed to to hold your crank as a last ditch effort when the bolts are completely loose
I'm more surprised bertman never felt his left crank was so damn loose it came to this
I mean you can even visually see it when the bolts aren't tight enough because the gap gets so big

Bolts not torqued, crank gets wiggle room.
2.5 meter bert hulking on his rape machine getting that crank to hit the cheap piece of plastic at 100 rpm for god knows how long.
Piece of plastic holding on for dear life, the pin is cracked so he continued even after that.
To be fair to the shimano dudes, I'm pretty sure that piece of plastic that came off on the preload bolt is supposed to come off because otherwise the entire plastic threads would've just sheared off on the inside ruining even more.

I am not certain the R8100 ones are compatible as they are half the length. They probably are but even AI overlord is not sure (part Y1P417000 vs Y1KS13000)

Maybe "unsymmetrical" tightening of the two bolts?
I mean, frequent shifting between tightening both bolts to the final 12-14Nm.
Or maybe the switch from riding outside in ciclismo weather to winter hell?
Frame carbon, bb shell aluminium, spindle steel, crank arm aluminium, crank arm bolts steel, tension cap plastic...
Things just get some play with this mix of materials.

I have two very expensive ones that I appropriated from work so I can't recommend anything specific unless you want to pay BIGLY but I would say any small wrench that has a range of 2-40 Nm would be good. See that it comes with a set of hex bits H2-H10 and torx bits T10-T25 or T30 if possible since torx is getting increasingly more common on bike parts.
I don't think spending a lot of money is necessary because surely anything that's sold in an online bike shop is calibrated and accurate enough

>cranksets that don't have pinch bolts but only one big bolt that you tighten with 35 or 45 nm

arguably the lock ring you can do by feel aka as hard as you can but the crankset one is more delicate, too little torque and the crankarms can come loose while too much may crush the bearings or preload adjuster if it has one

I guess it comes from our family being quite poor when I was a child, learnt the value of money from my parents and grandparents. Now as an adult I have more money than I can ever spend, and yet I get a psychological block when I buy something really expensive if I can't justify it being better than a lower priced version. So I end up buying Chinesium frames for peanuts instead of Sir Velo and S Works.

Also somehow worse looking riser stem + handlebar design than my monstrosity, I think largely because of the nonexistent reach of the handlebar.

Despite all his success he was neveer too good to ride as a hjæpler for his teammates when they needed him. He has always been second to van der Poel but he never let it stop him from working hard and trying his best. Wout is the soul of ciclismo concentrated in one rider.

"Polish" runner SEMIRUNNIY was even faster though, but it was in the B-division where you have unfair stayering advantage. Also the first time EVER I have seen a Slovakian in the results. 30th in the B-group. 13:32, almost as fast as the legendary WR from dopeur KOSS in 1994. I've found two heavy gym sessions doable but need to be careful about positioning them in the calendar. This seemed to work quite well in the recent weeks, putting them in the evening of a sprint day and then on a separate day after a harder SST session. And I suppose my gym volume hasn't been that big so it hasn't interfered all that much, yesterday I did 3x6x105kg back squats, 3x8x100kg Romanian deadlifts and 3x6x75kg split squats, all with 2-3 reps in reserve. Still tough but easy enough to be able to recover in time for the next on-bike workout.

>For 45/15 cycling intervals (45 seconds hard, 15 seconds easy), you're generally working in your VO2 Max (Zone 5) or high Threshold (Zone 4) zones, aiming for efforts around 105-120% of FTP (Functional Threshold Power) for the "on" part, followed by easy spinning at Zone 1-2 for recovery, to boost aerobic capacity and lactate clearance for better threshold power.

No but for many around 3.5-4.5w/kg is a limit simply from vo2max genetics and not being able to train enough volume because of life reasons.
For me it seems like life is getting in the way of training. Daughter has hand, foot and mouth disease, and I've probably caught it as well since I am now running a fever. Hoping it won't turn severe, I have heard from other parents that HFMD can be pretty nasty (not being able to eat at all due to painful spots in the mouth/throat, nails falling off etc). Luckily daughter isn't too much affected so maybe it'll be mild for me as well.

They opened first "Five Guys" fast food burger chain in Prague to mixed reviews
I honestly don't know who this is for. Burger and fries go for 25 EUR or something.
You will get a burger and fries AND beer cheaper in literally any burger joint anywhere else and that won't be a fast food and will be instead prepared by a hipster shirt wearing, gloves wearing moustache sporting middle aged cook

25 for fast food slop is STEEP but when you think about it the average knuckle dragger spends a good chunk of their (very meager) disposable income on fast food delivery so I'm not surprised that some burger chain thinks they can capitalize on that by making it seem like they are hip and special
still hope they fail, the npcs need to be stopped for their own good

Peculiar sound coming in from the rear, only when I score BIG watts on the right side.
It's NOT BB. Chain is not loose, deraileur is properly aligned. Could be squeaky saddle (unlikely) or it could be those 10 metric kilotons of vaxx smegma i just removed from the small cogs. Or the zwift cock is falling apart. Or maybe I just positioned the bike awkwardly on the mat. Will know more next time.

If you told me this was the new Bingoal team I would believe it. Take away De Lie and Van Dopevelt and it is absolutely shocking

I didn't notice initially, I thought I ran over some bag or whatever that did the bang. Noticed it is a complete flat a while later after I restarted after the dentist.

Spoke with me good friend about his winter training, or the lack of.
He rapes twice, 2 hours a week total maximum.
What would you recommend to such a wattlet? He's only doing z2 rn but i think thats waste of time
I told him to do 30/30s and some 25 min zwift climb threshold.

>>55836
yea 1 day vo2 efforts of any kind and the other day some z4 effort but lets face it he won't do either and at 2h/week the outlook is not too bright anyways

speaking of not too bright I have been woken up by the unpleasant noise of some dude crashing his car into some parked cars in my street with like 80+ kph and the still ongoing clean up is making quite a racket. I'm supposed to get up in like 4h

The final BIG event of the year is starting tomorrow: the 59th edition of the Vuelta Ciclista Internacional a Costa Rica!
It looks like it will be a battle between the local teams 7C - Economy - Hyundai and Colono Bikestation Kölbi and the Ecuadorians Movistar Best PC.
The big names include defending champ Luis Daniel Oses, former conti star Kevin Rivera, other local Tico heroes like Daniel Bonilla, Sergio Arias, Pablo Mudarra, Alejandro Granados, Joseph Ramirez as well as continental heavyweights like Santiago Montenegro, Richard Huera and Byron Guamá. Other international superstars include Cormac McGeough, Kenny Nijssen and a certain Quintana.

The route includes a 17 km mountain ITT and two stages featuring the mythical Cerro de la Muerte, stunning images are sure to be had!

Yup it's a disgusting protocol but seems to work.
For those interested here is the original Hickson protocol which brought the biggest vo2max improvements in the recorded literature:
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/838658/
6x week of training with 6x5min max on one day and 40min max TT on the other day, alternating between those.
