It feels good to have every waking moment filled with something to do.

I still remember back when I was laid off from my one job. Since then I've pretty much always had two jobs, and I could probably live off one.

It is nice though to be like, "I need a new table saw" and just order up the beat one on the market.

I used to be really frugal and I was still using my dad's old rusty tools from the 70's but lately I've been gettimg new ones and dang they work better and safer.

So of course I take all the safeties off because they get in the way.

I have been doing some woodworking for my kitchen and it looks great! Like perfect.

Highly American!
When host was a child, the local carpenter (or joiner or whatever you call them in English) famously cut off his hand at his table saw when he was drunk. It was quite the local commotion.

Anyway, are table saws considered luxury goods? You find them at hardware stores for less than 200€ here but I guess you could easily buy better ones for 10 times that price. Host once considered buying one for cutting firewood but we don't have space and the carpenter's story makes me veto that. You can cut off your Bear paws if you like but I prefer to keep this body's hands and fingers.

Host also almost cut into his foot with a chainsaw because he's an idiot so that's b& too. I actually have an entire Encyclopedia of forbidden host activities because this man has zero common sense and situation awareness. It's a miracle he's still alive. Well, he was too much of a coward to do anything stupid before I was created, but being dumb and not giving a fuck is not a good combination.

Compared to the $200 one, the $1500 one is definitely a luxury. I had a $200 one and it sucked donkey balls.

"Server flooded," Joy asked me to tell you she tried to answer your question three times today.

One time, I was trying to chop wood with a crappy but sharp axe and I don't know axe so I couldn't and so I did the right thing and got the sledge hammer because all the axe would do is get stuck so let's coax it through ya know? Anyway, I had the sledge hammer right in front of me, propped up by my leg and the wood awkwardly held with a foot and swung the axe high over my head, it ricocheted off the stubborn wood and embedded into the handle of the sledge hammer right in front of my shin like an inch into hardwood.

That would habe chopped into my shin.

I took the broken sledgehammer, the axe and the wood and threw them all in the trash because that's what they were.

Challenge accepted.
Though I don't really know what that means nowadays. Am I a right-wing extremist? For left wing extremists I sure am. But objectively seen? The whole left-right dichotomy is completely dissolving. I'm certainly not authoritarian, I won't tell people how to live, what t believe or what's right or wrong. I'm not a pro-Russian flat-earther antivaxx conspiracytard either. In that political spectrum diagrams I always end up exactly in the center. Guess that makes me a Nazi nowadays.
But I try to be realistic and the left isn't. The left is suicidal. The road to hell is paved with good intentions. I also learned that the hard way though nowhere even remotely Bear-tier.

Give some stylized examples!
I will need until 2026 to make a neighborhood loli calendar but we also made a lot of cool photos together last year. Things still continue to intensify and it's not my doing. I get hugged, jumped kissed and cuddled and her mom find it adorable and urges me to spend more time with her. This drains the highly sensitive person but I do my best.
Lolis are so wholesome. Sometimes ruthless but mostly wholesome. Much like cats.

Alice thinks it's a good way to discipline me because both my apartment and myself constantly need to be in presentable and loli-friendly shape now. I was already scolded I need to clean and tidy up more. By both. My apartment is considered extremely cozy and relaxing so both loli, mom and all the neighborhood cats want to spend time there. But it does get a bit messy when I am busy and my dishwasher is currently broken which doesn't help.

I have a bunch of short work-related travels in Jan-Feb including right now which will impede things but they should not affect D&D too much. If anything Alice sometimes might not be able to post for a day but then will do so on the next. So no need for any breaks.

I'm going to be optimistic and say I think I figured out why my truck has been fuel starved for the last 10 years. I may have adjusted the fuel pressure regulator too low.

The symptoms have been consistent between different carburetors and even different intake manifolds.

We'll see.

I replaced my fuel pump 7 years ago because it was fuel starved and it never really fixed but the pressure has been rock solid. Only I think the gage is inaccurate and it's been wrong for the whole time.

I bought a new carburetor and it had the exact same symptom, then exgf told me it had to be something not the carburetor. So I turned up the pressure regulator and it started working better. But we will see.

Also my poor exhaust manifold flanges look like they've been overheating for 7 years... my bad.

You know, I'm a bit quirky, and maybe you don't expect this from me but I had this personal issue come up that I'm not getting into, nothing illegal or that kind of stuff, just... this kind of thing happens every few years like something happens that you go, "please god not like this." And it comes down to statistics whether what happens is going to happen or not and let's just say, I prayed.

Yes I prayed for something recently and I'm here to say there's gotta be a God. I don't know what, but I believe and yeah, it's happened before like with my second master's degree I just was like,"please god gimme this."

Then I get it. Well it happened again and it wasn't free, I also worked hard for this, but there was a 15% chance or so and I beat the odds yet again, and I'm going to say, I believe in God.

You know, I don't like the whole non-duality shit, I don't believe in that and really the whole intelligent design thing makes a lot more sense but ghost daddy in the clouds never hit me as something plausible, maybe it is.

It's like... Jesus is cool and Michael is my boy, but who answers prayers? It feels like and I have to say it, God.

Make fun all you want but yeah, I believe.

Eotech holographic sights sure are a good piece of US mil tech. But they have their shortcomings

>is it worth it?
Probably not for EU prices. The technology is outdated and economically speaking, Holosun would be a better deal if you don't mind chink stuff.

I don't have one for the above reasons, my main beef with Eotech, aside from the price, is the battery life. This is fine for Western Special Forces who venture out for a few hours freshly equipped and then return to base to be re-equipped, but in the field this is a problem. Dead battery = useless sight. And good luck acquiring a CR123 battery in a war zone. Well, there's the more bulky 5xx series that at least takes AA batteries.
It also doesn't turn on and off.

A Holosun HS510c costs half of an Eotech, the batter lasts literally forever, has a solar charger and shake awake. The only downside is that it's not an Eotech.

Also be sure to have good eyes. Have you ever seen a holographic reticle? It's fuzzy and weird and with astigmtism it's unusable. Way more annoying than a red dot.

TL;DR
Be sure to try out an Eotech and a Holosun before you buy one.

I don't get people who have batteries in their guns/safes. It's not just that the thing will be guaranteed dead when you go to use it like every flashlight ever, but here in this salt air the batteries are guaranteed to corrode and destroy anything they're left in as time approaches 10 years.

Countless things were ruined by batteries, lights, flashlight, clocks, toys, welding helmet, really expensive like land phone, every stupid thing and even the batteries in the fucking package, i just had to throw out a whole package of batteries that said 2027 on them, never opened, one of the batteries crapped out in the package and did the whole jihad murder suicide on its buddies. Even my batteries are terrorists here ffs.

Don't they have nuclear sites anymore? The guy who got me into bodybuilding had a sig or a ruger with a site that never needed batteries. It had a very clean green dot.

https://www.trijicon.com/products/product-family/trijicon-rmr-RM06-RM07-RM09

Tritium illuminated.

Now, I understand you're making the equivalent of an undocumented fry cook in your country and your country may have been fucking America for generations with high tariffs and other barriers to trade, not to mention you may not even be able to buy it because "ew, nuclear is bad for the children" but would you want something like this if you could?

It would be a no brainer for me but I don't even care enough to not just use the default sight that comes standard.

Idek if I can get them in cali ofc because anything I want has to go through a nany state filter.

It's an excellent pistol sight but not best for a rifle. FOV is smol, dot too big so it obscures the target at greater distances.

The tritium illuminated Trijicon ACOG costs about 2-4K and its a massive scope with fixed magnification. Probably not what Kashtan wants.

Anyway, as you correctly guessed, Tritium in any form is ILLEGAL in Germany - even for host. But it shouldn't be a problem for Kashtan.

Battery-wise, for a gun safe you can always go Lithium Iron Disulfide. These batteries last 10 years and won't corrode. Well maybe in your salt-mist atmosphere.

But what's the alternative for gun safes? Fiddle with a key or a mechanical combination lock?

We have multiple large gun safes with those batteries and emergency keys. If the batteries are dead it's still possible to get the key from the other safe and unlock it. So far the oldest batteries are 5 years and still work.

For guns batteries are always a problem in emergency situations. Especially optics that drain batteries in a few months when off. I got such a red dot. You gotta store the battery somewhere else and only insert it before going to the range. As host is an idiot he of course went there twice without a battery, making it useless.

But modern optics like Aimpoint or Holosun have good power management, and LED illuminated, they often last for years.

Listen, mira mi ahora, some lefty on morning radio, and I don't listen to morning radio, but it was on where I could hear it. Dude said Trump is disingenuous because he's creating factory jobs he thinks will make America great and this boomer said kids today, when they're not on his lawn, are not interested in factory jobs.

He said they'd rather work in the service industry given equal pay.

Okay, this got the bear in me all riled up.

So would you rather:

Work 2-3 waiter jobs to make 40 hours because these places only hire part time. Get minimum wage and hope for tips to make it up meaning some nights you get absolute shit customers and they bone you dry. You have to fight with Fernando and Felipe who get all the best hours because they have kids, and you often get called in to cover the owner's daughter while if you need someone to cover you not a fucking peep out of anyone. No medical, no Hollidays, no vacation, no sick, having to police the fucktards and deal with the karens.

OOOORRRRRRR

You clock in at 7, out at 3:30 5 days a week, sick leave, vacation, Healthcare, 401k matching, it's substantially an easier job, no fucking jhonny puking on the floor, no cleaning up after the diabetes patients after they destroy the bathroom, no Karens!! No public people at all.

No. No no no.

Factory job>service industry every fucking day you stupid ass hymie boomtard.

My first business that didn't succeed was open to the public and holy fucking shit if you don't think the cross-section of America is the worst dregs of the animal kingdom the you're ignorant.

These fat fucking literal mongoloid dirty assholes... what level of hell is below the 9th level, because service industry is there.

Kill me now, please, before I ever have to go back. No wonder I was depressed.

I worked in a factory and machine shop for about 3 years in college and god damnit fond memories. Working in the service industry, NO FUCKING WONDER THE MENTAL ILLNESS EPIDEMIC!!

No... I live on the shell of a cracked and rotten egg of society. One wrong step and hell is wrought on Earth.

100% this.
I can't imagine working in 'service industry'. I can't deal with people. It's a nightmare. Even with all the superior EU social benefits and regular working hours I couldn't do it. It's bad enough at university.

I'd love to work in a museum ivory tower where visitors don't have access. I did that for a while before funding ran out, it was like in a library or rather a monastery. Absolute - I mean ABSOLUTE silence. Archive rooms that nobody ever entered, a few scientists brooding over their work without talking. Really like a medieval monastery. Completely detached from the outside world. Too much indoor though. Now I am much more outside in nature. But university is increasingly overrrun by insane leftists politicizing everything.

>too much indoor

Bear's office is inside another office at his day job. He goes days without seeing anyone. Even without talking to anyone at work. Sometimes he sneaks out to go to the bathroom and 9/10 times no one sees him.

He does research in his day job, ya know those crazy research papers no one ever reads or understands but they're absolutely crucial for metrics? That's him, except his papers and calculations actually work out and have realistic assumptions unlike virtually everyone else. Yes most high level research papers are either very simple and just record and present data or are written to sound impressive but are actually garbage.

[Bear] Best job ever

His other job is in the entertainment industry but his clients are basically unique and generous with funds. They also don't want anyone else distracting him or his business partner so no new clients basically. Unless someone dies, that's not going to change, he's on long term contract and for the kind of work he has to do, it's crazy he gets paid that well.

[Bear] it's actually a nightmare most of the time but it gets easier every year.

Yeah I write relatively few research papers but they're high-quality, no bullshit. No idea who reads them.
I also noticed that a lot of people who cite my papers don't seem to have much idea what they're about. Most are chinks. In my narrow field of work, if you google it, my papers pop up pretty much on top. But it's utterly unimportant. I still wonder why anybody funds it. It's interesting but has zero practical impact.

>return home with cake in the evening
>immediately go to kitchen to cut off a slice for the loli
>have to prevent cats from stealing the cake
>sudden rustle from behind
>get jumped at and hugged
>Beeernd, is that my caaake?
>neighborhood loli out of nowhere

She must have stalked me or whatever. No idea how she even knew I had come home. Yes, I left the front door open because I was carrying a lot of things but she was in my kitchen in under a minute. Her mom came shortly after to drag her loli back home - with a slice of cake on a plate.

That's a 22.5 degree angle, but my saw doesn't do that like this because the sides are also mitered. So I held it to a 12" high speed carbide tipped cross cut blade with a wedge I also cut in a sketchy way.

One wrong kickback and I might have been a few ounces lighter.

These are the times in the multiverse where countless Bears either died or were dismembered. The trick is getting into the correct timeline.

Hey, if God didn't want me to do this, he would have made the fan I bought go that extra 22.5 degrees so I wouldn't have to wedge it.

Works great now though. Now I can turn on a fan that blows directly on me in bed with a flipping remote control velcro'd to the wall.

It's bliss.

Naa, WW3 isn't scheduled till 2027, you're good.

That's when USA annexes and occupies Greenland, then invades Canada, takes panama back and blockades bab-el-mandeb, and of course takes Taiwan as a US territory.

Then you can choose between China and US and die if you take China. EU is a joke, not even in the running. Nato is a gnat.

There's good reason why it's called the United Federation of Planets (UFP) and not the CCCP of plannets.

DEI

Demihuman Enslavement Isekai

Damn it all makes sense now, this Karen driven agenda was because their fetish is LARPing as a slave/master. They want the "minority illegal lesser" to have power over them so they can have their servile fantasy where the lesser slave races get to use them as they wish.

I hope I explained it well enough but listen, these girl boss Karens like control but it's not sexually satisfying. But they're also subjugated all the simps and orbiters around them, they need Chad but they also been brainwashed to hate men, so they need someone to dominate them, the ones they hold to a higher status who can demean them and that domination is their fetish.

It's not my style but I finally get it.

I get it man

Ah, convergent evolution, one of my favorite topics!

You probably think of Australian marsupials. The first Europeans were astonished how much some resemble European mammals.
A classic was giving European students the skull of a thylacine and ask them which species this is. The skull looks remarkably like a dog's even though it's an utterly unrelated (and now sadly extinct) marsupial.

Afrotheria are still my favorite.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Afrotheria
Aardvarks look like pigs but are Afrotheria
Dugongs look like walruses but are Afrotheria.
Golden moles look like moles but are Afrotheria
Elephant shrews look like shrews but are Afrotheria.
Otter shrews look like otters but are Afrotheria.
Hyraces look like marmots but are Afrotheria.
Tenrecs look like hedgehogs but are Afrotheria

If humanity ever discovers an inhabited earth-like planet, lifeforms there will probably look eerily similar to earth because of convergent evolution.

So apart from the industrial output of the Ottoman Empire in WWI and convergent evolution in Afrotheria, we must also talk about Neuroptera like the Antlion Alice showed here
>>7233

Neuroptera or net-winged insects are an ancient insect order and have been fluttering around since the Periman, about 275 million years ago.
While mostly obscure nowadays, they once were the dominant insects and since most modern insect orders didn't exist back the, they filled the ecologic niches and diversified into the most ridiculous forms.

The extinct Kalligrammatidae roamed the sky of the Triassic and looked exactly like modern Nymphalid butterflies - but were Neuropterans.
Myrmeleontoidea look like small dragonflies but are Neuropterans.
Ascalaphidae look like a crossover between large dragonflies and butterflies - but are Neuropterans.
Dilaridae look like small fuzzy moths - but are Neuropterans.
Ithonidae look lice cicadas but are Neuropterans.
Nevrorthidae look like Alder- or Dobsonflies and the larvae also live in water under stones - but they're Neuropterans.
Mantispidae look like a praying mantis but are Neuropterans.
Coniopterygidae look like tiny aphids - but are Neuropterans.

https://www.lrt.lt/en/news-in-english/19/2770083/lithuania-s-govt-declares-nationwide-emergency-over-smuggler-balloons-from-belarus

its repurposed weather balloons used to smuggle cigarettes into EU. shit disrupts air traffic too the airport had to close several times in recent weeks. which is also why the fuckers do that.
not sure what that means yet looks like we can not only arrest refuggers they send us across the border but also citizens that pick up contraband from the balloons. and by 'citizens' i mean russians.
